    HI, i am new to this can anyone help
    I bought a acer travelmate 351 on ebay,it has no operating system on board when i switch on it ask for a smart card but i dont have one ,how can i get it to load windows xp and bypass card .thanks

    you mean, you put the OS disk in and change the boot order and it does not work?

    also on POST (when it says acer) hit the key combination Alt+F10, if it is the original unmodified hard drive it will load a recovery partition that will install windows.

    PS: in the future try a more descriptive title and you might want to post this in the software part of the forum.
