well be more spasicic i am on an 3500 now and i don't have trouble but, if when you turn it on it you just get a blank screen you hard drive is not activating try it a few times, then contact ACER. one other problem is it could be a virus which has completely whipped out you system.

there i have had a few gliches with turning mine on but all i do is just hold the power button down until it is off then i try again and for me it always works.

    hope that helps

oh something is wrong with the switch then if it will not light up at all or the power supply.

to make it simple power is not getting to the switch or past it somewhere in the computer. contact your retailer/ACER they whould be able to fix it... if not ask for a new computer that works, not unreasonable.

make sure that the power adapter is working as well(no cuts ect)
if the computer is not in warrenty ask how much it will cost because a laptop repair can cost 500 or 600 hundred dollars and that is almost the current value of a 3500...

    talk to you retailer
if i don't respond to any more post i have logged off

    hope that helps
