hello all! i'm currently using win7 pro 64bit. i didnt want to post every single problem in different threads so excuse me for the long post. here's a list of the issues i'm dealing with..

    1. ake bc338 esata adapter in express card not recognised by windows... not even a sound from windows that is detected... managed to find drivers for win7 but no luck.

    2. white lines appear for less than a second in screen then disappear... while chatting, while on desktop almost everywhere. with vga out and hdmi out i have no problem at all! i've downloaded everest and saw that the 8600m GT is working underclocked by nvidia forceware or by win power management. maybe that's the reason. how can i clock it to normal rates again? i didnt find anything in nvidia control panel.

    3. with windows7 64bit i'm having some problems even though i've upgraded to 4GB ram. firefox stucks after 4-5tabs open, but ie explorer runs great with 15or more open. winrar also stucks a little bit and generally the system seems a little slow. what should i check?

    4. side buttons [play, stop, forward, backward] dont work. didnt find any specific driver in acer site.

    5. audio jack is not working at all. i tested it. but optical out is working. same was going on with vista. told me from call center it must be a hardware failure.

    6. can i take advantage of the european warranty which is supposed to be for two years? because here in Greece warranty is only for 1year...

I also had video problems with windows 7. You will have to wait for a new driver update if there ever is one. I switched back to vista. I find windows 7 is just like vista when it first came out. Lots of problems until all the pc manufaturers released new drivers. It is a waiting game to see if they come out. My best advice is switch to vista. I have no problems with it at all now. SP1 made all the difference. Hope this helps a little bit.

all the above problems existed in Vista too.
the screen problem [white lines] arrived after i loaded the nvidia drivers, if i remember correctly... how long it will take nvidia to publish new drivers... who knows...

your asking the wrong vendor , When will acer releases a driver.
well , maby in 5 years , why you ask , thats very simpel .
you got a aspire as5920 with vista ACER will only suport vista !!!
Onles you got as5920 with windows 7 ,then again ACER will only suport the driver it came with.
Wy you ask , because its not standaard ACER SOFTWARE !!!!
