I contacted Acer about that and the guy told me they will not have one for the aspire 1800 series, which i feel is a total ripp off checking that they flaunt that in their features on the website.

    Quote from Acer Rep:

"I apologize for the delay. Acer America does not offer an optional TV tuner for this system.

    Respectfully,

And i know he knows which system i'm talking about because i had contacted him before about upgrades for my laptop.

TOTALLY SUCKS!!! But i got an ATI USB2 TV Wonder, and it works like a charm, capturing and viewing. Only gripe is that when playing my xbox it lags by 1 sec.

I found a solution, this should work for those of you having the same prob with USB TV cards on their laptop, I used FullScreen TV to view my TV wonder. The quality is a little less than if i used ATI's TV software but there's no lag and its full screen on my 17" display.

a search on the web found that the card is made by twinhan - maybe they have a verison that is commercially available.

i'm not impressed , they announce all these great features and you dig a little deeper and find them to be false.
