ive jus got an external monitor and want to use both my acer screen and the external as two desktops or merge into one? how can i do that? ive obvioulsy got the gradvista and ati hydravision but it wont seem to show the external monitor as an option! the only thing that works atm is seeing the same picture on both screens which is pointless to me!

You currently have the monitors set to clone, you need to change it to span and make your laptop or the other one a primary monitor. You can change these settings in the ATI stuff or do it in windows display properties.
