Ok, Now that I got my laptop and have been playin with it, its time to ask questions.

    1) Physical memory, the more the better, right? If so, will adding more ram give more of this?

2)When I unplug the power cord from the laptop, the screen will flicker, normal? Also, if putting it on and off to move between rooms ok? (On and off power (cord))

3)Harddrive, I am pretty sure its a 5400RPM, and every once and a while I here a little click, lick, tisk, but its not loud, does not bother me, and I am pretty sure its normal.

    4) CPU, I've been running off of 800Mhz, but I want some more kick, I found that putting to 1.6GHz is what I am looking for, but is it safe? I know I had it on 800Mhz for 6-7hours staight today, so I think a few hours on 1.6GHz shouldn't hurt.

    That should be it. :)

1.) Yes, generally 1 GB is the minimum these days with many power users installing 1.5 or even 2 GB. Depending on your setup you can add quite a bit of memory to a system. Laptops typically have 2 SODIMM slots and are user upgradeable.

2.) I don't know how normal the flicker is, my computer doesn't do it, but I wouldn't worry--it's probably just adjusting to the battery. It's definitely fine to use it between rooms, that's why you bought a laptop, right?

3.) Hard drive noise, as long as not grinding or excessive is quite normal. You can upgrade to a larger/faster hard drive down the road if you want, some are quieter than others.

4.) The processor states that it runs @ 2.0GHz, so I would not worry--the only thing I can think of is that it might run a little hotter with slightly decreased battery life due to the higher voltage.

    Enjoy the computer!

Ok, I will get getting 1GB of ram in the summer. :)

Also, I find when I have it set at 2Ghz, the fan is pushing out a lot of hot air, which I am pretty sure is normal, as I was also playin a game.

Yea, that flicker like you said should just be changing to the battery

Harddrive is fine, lol, I will wait and just get a better laptop down the road.
