is it possible to edit dvmt, i am running an acer c301 w/ 2gb ram, intel has dedicated 64mb to video, can i dedicate more, say 128mb or even 256 as this would not effect my performance? i'm looking to run vista ultimate once it comes out that's why. that and i think it would just look better now.

I believe the dvmt is fixed, hence dedicated - it's the actual ram soddered onto the GPU not hypermem or tuborcache

This thread is old, but I'm searching for opinions on DVMT settings. In my ACER 3680 BIOS there is a DVMT setting.. 64MB, 128MB, or MaxDVMT. Default was 64MB. I changed it to 128MB and ran the Vista Windows Experience thingie and saw an increase in performance. I changed it again to MaxDVMT and did not see another increase when running the Vista Windows Experience thing.
