    hey,
I am about to order an acer tm3204xmi and am curious about experiences with acer screen quality (and overall build quality). newegg says that they have a 7 dead pixel returm policy, which seems pretty crappy to me. should this be a concern of mine, or do acers have a rep of good screens.
    thanks.

They're generally pretty good, but honestly, I wouldn't order a notebook from NE. Their return policy is garbage.

Whoops, I got my TM 4150 from Newegg...lol...Anyway, great notebook, so-so build quality, you get what u pay for basically.. I only have 1 dead pixel, but its normal. All lcds are prone to dead pixels. You just have to be lucky i guess. One way Newegg is good, you know the notebook u get is brand new. If they accept all sorts of returns, you may get one that someone else returned. That person may have dropped it or did something stupid with it and make it look normal...

so does your acer feel a bit flimsy? this is one of my main concerns. i always use a neoprene sleeve, but my notebook is often in a bag with other books on top of it so I am looking for enough build quality that will support a couple of books on top of it without pressing in the screen to the keyboard.
    thanks.
