    Acer 6920G
    Core 2 duo 2.1GHz
    3GB DDR2

Another issue to the one I posted yesterday
The camera on this when you try to access it you get a box comes up " Camera no Found"
and no sign of the camera, I bought and fitted new one, same result, but when it was lying idle and the Acer screensaver came on showing off all its attributes in turn I suddenly saw myself on screen, so the camera is there and working. I just need to find out how to access it.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled and also tried earlier drivers,
Camera shows up in Device manager and is allegedly working properly, but not in Conrtol panel/ cameras and scanners, which I assume, perhaps wrongly it should be showing up
once again I would appreciate any hints

It says camera not found when you try to access it using what software exactly?
Acer camera-thingy or Skype or something else?
Make sure you check different apps- it may not be a camera problem after all.

There are 3 types of Driver.

One for the 1.0MP and two for the 0.3MP

This is why I couldnt get mine to work.

Try each one until it works. Obviously un-installin each driver at a time.

I have 2 fairly recent Acers here, a 2920 and a 5536. On both of them the camera stopped working in the Acer app, but still worked on Skype and other similar programs. I tried all the Acer drivers listed on the support sites for both machines, but it all stayed the same.

I assumed it was down to some Microsoft update that broke the Acer app in Vista and W7. Is this not correct? It doesn't bother me, but it would be nice if everything still worked.

Both of these Acers that I have seem to have been orphaned as far as updates go. For example, I had to search and ask all over the place before I found the correct updated usb filter driver for the 5536 to make it work with usb audio.

Hi I anticipated it would work with Skype and other apps that access camera with their own progs but have tried all the drivers Acer offer.
I just wanted to get everything working as I am putting it on e-bay this weekend and I like to say evertthing is installed and no yellow exclamation marks in device manager, but I think I will sell as is now that everyone has confirmed what I thought, so thanks everyone for your replies
