I am looking for links for a spare battery for my travelmate 8204. The current Li-on battery says part number is CGR-B/984 and is 11.1 V and 7800 mAh. Google has left me high and dry.

    anyone bought a replacement?

    what about a lighter one?
    or a bigger one?
do they make ones that fit into the optical drive bay?

    Thanks,

eBay is your best bet for third-party batteries that are cheaper than the Acer OEM ones.

You can also search at pricegrabber.com, if you know the model number, and pricewatch.com may have it as well.

I have found that Acer batteries are hard to come by. eBay is the best. Make sure you buy from people with high ratings.

If you are looking for modular secondary battery, I would first check your user manual to see if your Acer accepts that in the optical bay.

Generally, any Acer retailer should be able to order accessories in, but you'd be looking at AUD$149+, but that'd also depend on where you are...
