Well I guess the title says it all.... ;)

I have been googling across the web to find some users that are succesfully using a BT headset with Skype (or any other VOIP app) with windows 7

As this is the place where to find solemates who own an AS1810 what better place to check then here.

Is there anyone that is successfully using a BT headset on his/her Acer (with Windows 7)

If so which drivers and headset are you using?

I am currently using a headset with cables but this is a nag.
Under XP on my old laptop i always used a BT headset which gives you the freedom to get a cup of coffee while on the phone :D

Bluetooth devices connect to a bluetooth adaptor, independent of the computer they are working with.

Skype will use any microphone/speaker that appears as a sound device in windows.

So any bt headset should work with any application.

My SonyEricsson works with Skype great.

Can you let me know which Sony Ericsson model you have ?

Are you using it in combination with the internal BT from the AS1810 ?

    Its a Sony Ericsson HBH-65.

Using an external bluetooth dongle. However this is using standard windows drivers and software.

    Hi,

this might be a stupid question, but have you verified your Bluetooth is working?

Indeed. Acer do not install Bluetooth on a number of models you might expect it on . . althoug they usually manage to leave the hardware button there
