hello! I recently got 2 of these laptops (acer TM270 and TM530) and the problems that i am having with these is that, they didn't come with wireless wifi cards and when i put my cards into the mini pci slots, strangely the laptops will no longer shut down when using ac adapter. they will just automatically reboot and start windows again. however they do shut down when using the batteries. also when the wifi cards are inside the slots, as soon as you plug in the ac adapter, the laptops will start by themself. when they are inside and the baterry is used, this doesn't happen. i flashed to the latest bios and this didn't help. i know the models are abit old but i will be very grateful if someone has experienced this in the past and how they solved the problems. many thanks

I think the wifi card you're using is incompatible with the laptop's BIOS. I had a similar problem with a TM290. Mine was sold without wifi too. The Intel 2200 wifi worked in mine after mod. The mod consisted on tapping (isolating with some tape) pin 11 and 13 on the CARD to enable the card to turn ON.

hi! but i tried other wifi cards too (two by intel and two by another company, forgot the name) and the same symptom. this is very odd. searching on the net, i found two other people experienced this but their threads didn't provide solutions from others.
