My laptop has had this problem for a while now... but recently it has got worse.

Basically when I am playing games (like Spore/the sims/etc) my laptop frequently turns off without warning, and often will not turn back on again afterwards for several minutes.

Sometimes it also does it when I'm hardly doing anything, like listening to iTunes or watching a video on youtube.

I was wondering if its possible that my laptop could be clogged up with dust - or if the fan could need replacing completely? The fan still seems to spin which suggests to me that it is still working but I don't really know anything about these things.

Has anyone else had any experiences with fans being blocked up with dust, or does anyone know how I can tell if its just dust or the whole fan which needs replacing (without opening it up)?
