    acer aspire 3000 problem help!!!

    hey, I recently just aquired an acer aspire 3000 and im having a problem. Ok shouldn't it be able to run on the power cord after i plug it into the wall...the battery holds charge but for only like a 30sec-1min, but it wont stay on it just keeps restarting after the start windows normally screen???? i plug the power cord into it and it does the same thing?? any help would be appriciated!!!
