hi all, im new to this forum and not much of a computer geek, when I purchased this laptop a few years ago, I had the option to upgrade it to windows 7, which I did with some problems along the line, anyway after a few month of arguments and discusions with people, I decide to let my neighbour do a format and install windows 7 again, I noticed then when I got it back it had used over 190gb and there was nothing on the comp, after the carry on I had been having I just got on with it, anyway a couple of years down the road, things have started to go wrong and the comp is slow, so I decide to have a look around the web and get some info on how to take it back to factory setting, I figured out alt f10, but nothing happens, when I boot the comp up it is still running w7 but I am thinking that the original vista and upgrade are still around somewhere because of the amount of space that has been taking up.

I guess what I'm asking is

1 how do I do a factory restore

2 delete old versions of windows 7 etc

thanks in advance if you can follow it.

If there is anything on a recovery partition it would be Vista.
The best thing to do is use software that displays your Win 7 key - make a note of it and clean install Win 7 again.

Restoring Vista and doing an upgrade to Win 7 won't work anymore (at least the latter part).
