    acer 4720z problem please help

    hello to you all im in need of help big time here i have a acer 4720z aspire and i go to turn it on one day and the stupid thing doesnt wnt to boot anymore it gives me this message.""the instruction at 0x76f1d31d referenced memory at 0x76f1d31d. the required data was not placed into the memory because of an I/O error status of 0xc0000185"".

    just wonderin if anyone here as ever had that problem?

    sounds like a MEMORY error or a CORRUPT section on the Hard Drive

    if it were me,, i'd take both pieces of memory... then replace JUST 1 stick of RAM then try to boot.... if the error persists... remove that stick,,, and place the other stick inside then try to boot once again.. if the error is still there then your RAM might be OK ....

    which would lead me to check the HDD

    you can download MEMTEST memtest86 ISO use your favorite burning software to burn this file as a bootable CD...

    replace all RAM... then boot the laptop off the CD
    let it run over night to test the RAM

    if the RAM is OK,, you may have a corrupt file on the harddisk... or an actual bad sector on the HDD that is preventing the OS from loading
