Howdy
I just bought an Aspire 5102 WLMi a few hours ago at Circuit City. On the website and on 2 stickers on the laptop it shows the ATI Radeon Xpress 1100. But yet when I look in the computer settings and also Belarc Advisor, it says I have a Radeon 200m. Did I get screwed here or is the computer not recogizing the card right?

I believe they are the same or the same family of integrated GPU chipset, so no, you didn't get ripped.

I also have a 5102. Just go to Acer's support site and download the newest drivers and it will recognize it.

The R-X 1100 is a newer and slightly upgraded version of the 200m, so older drivers and tools will probably pick it up as an R-X 200.

I've heard people having trouble when they update the Graphics Drivers - you aren't being ripped off, it's just that the chipset is pretty new and will take some time to be a mainstay. Just give it some time, and you should be fine.

I went ahead and downloaded the updated drivers and now it recognizes the 1100. I am still trying to get comfortable with this laptop, but I have no other problems so far. Thanks for the drivers suggestion
