i email one of acer's rep today and ask if they have update on the 3200 series it seems like they have taken the 3200 series out of production line cuz the Acer America Notebook Quick Reference Guide he send me doesnt have TM3200 series in it. And when i go to newegg today to check for TM3201 its not there anymore, its not even in the list of acer notebook.
are my just thinking too much????
cuz if they are replacing the 3200 series with somthing else then i think i will wait and see wut they got.

I looked on their US website, and it lists the 3203XCi which is the same except it has a DVD burner and 1.7 GHz processor vs. CD burner and 1.5 GHz processor. I couldn't find it anywhere, but my guess is that soon enough you'll be able to buy the 3203XCi.

I have the 3201XCi and I love it...

i just checked out newegg's site and it's on there.
it looks like a nice make.
their mfr part number for this replacement is LX.T4806.049
TM3201XCI-XPP-SP2 which has an upgraded service pack.

Acer has pretty much re-vamped most of their models. They've upped the CPU and other specs to a handful and will probably do the rest or phase out the older designs. Some retailers may still have the older models in stock, but you may want to hold out for the newer ones since the CPU and some other specs are better. Just check and compare all the specs, they may have dropped some things, like a media card reader, video card, LCD size, etc...

newegg just have it outta stock and restock it... only went outta stock for like couple days...

however, the price never changed... figured that if the model is being closed out then newegg will lower the price a bit and sell thru whatever they have so far... but they restock it again at the same price...

earlier with the 2012 and 2025... the price drop and were quickly sell out... and replaced with like 1681 and 4501...

i feel like acer is testing the market and trying to feel the sweet spot of pricing with their latest rounds of notebook designs...

but i think they are refreshing their notebook families too fast, which might be confusing for consumers...

hopefully the introduction of 3203 will push the price down for remaining stock of 3201...

    Just did some price lookup...

    http://www.chihan.com.tw/main/index.sphp?prod_func=show&prod_areaid=8

    according to the above website...

they have the 3201 for like $1413(after conversion) and 3203 for like $1732...

hmm... given the price disparity... probably should pick up 3201 before it went outta stock for good...

    Sguart,

I don't think they've refreshed the lineup too early. They started their units with a 1.5Ghz Banias CPU when Dothans were already in the market. They then switch to the Dothan after the 2Ghz Dothan's were readily available. Now that the 2.1Ghz Dothan's have been introduced, Acer's making some changes. When other companies have a 1.6Ghz Dothan to start, with options to go faster, Acer still limits the CPU speeds for their more popular systems. Personally, I think they should at least have upgrade options or models with faster CPU's, this way the systems won't require refreshing so quickly.
