I recently purchased an aspire 1410 and have found the wireless card to be extremely unstable. Unless I am standing within 3 ft. of the modem/router, I lose the signal.
Not what you imagine when you purchase a netbook to use around the house. And I have had another notebook that picked up the signal flawlessly, so this is either the wireless card in this machine or a driver issue. Any thoughts?
    Thanks!

Someone had a device with a missing Antenna plug. You should open the RAM/Wifi hatch and check the antenna connections of the wifi card.

Thanks. I did check the connections (one black wire and one white) and they are both connected. Have you heard of anyone replacing the wireless card that comes with this and putting in another one??
    thanks,

The connection quality of my 1810t is actually the best of all my laptops. I guess that it's a hardware fault(maybe antenna or antenna cable) on your device and you should consider to let it repair under warranty and avoid buying a different wifi card.

The wireless on my 1410 is quite good. I get a full signal throughout my entire house.
