Before you say "yes", let me explain. There is a known bug with Intel X4500 video card, that, it will produce video corruption on Aero interface with VT-D enabled and asymmetric memory configuration(2GB+1GB in this case). There wouldn't be any problem for 1GB+1GB or 2GB+2GB or 2GB single stick.

Since there is no place to turn off VT-D in the bios, and hwinfo32 tells me that VT-D is enabled in the machine, so for anyone with 3GB setup, do you experience any problem?

btw, this shouldn't be a problem for SU3500/SU4100 since they don't have VT-X, maybe wrong but very likely only SU2300/SU7300 are affected.

    Thanks!

Might be coincidence or marketing decision, but I checked Acer website and:

    For 1410, SU3500 is shipped with 2GB+1GB setup while SU2300 is 2GB
    for 1810, SU4100 is 2GB+1GB and SU7300 is 2GB+2GB.

So Acer is also avoiding asymmetric memory setup on SU2300/SU7300 machines.
