    i'm using acer aspire 5583 hich has integrated webcam..
    is it possible 4 me to use the webcam to capture videos? how?

    I've heard Camtasia lets you capture what is on your screen, including your webcam video.

    I think this is what seedy people do over private chat networks. Lol.

    Windows Movie Maker (comes on just about all computers) lets you record video live from the webcam

    im sure just about all other video editing programs will let you record from the webcam too

    hmmm.... Not sure if you guys already know this, but DV wizard in Acer Arcade allows you to record from the webcam.
    However, I cannot seem to capture the video at the full quality. :(

    It is an intergrated webcam... what do you want it to do above what it is?

    i just use windows movie maker,you can edit as well.why put even more stuff on your pc that you all ready have.

    I can't find the option to record from webcam in the Vista WMM. How do you do it?

    i use XP pro and the movie maker ask's you to select a capture device.
    or i just plug in my digital stills camera and use that.well at 8Mega pixel's it works well. :D

    i had to select it.after i told movie what i had installed on my laptop. it was that easy.
    as soon as i loaded my stills cam and went into movie maker i used the wizard even now with the stills cam unplugged movie maker still has it in its list of device's.

    in the top left hand corner of movie maker it ask's you "capture from video device" when you open that a window should open showing your orbicam just select and configure.

    its fun :D
