I just ordered an Acer TimelineX AS5830TG-6614 and am waiting for it to arrive. I want to run Ubuntu Linux on it and a Windows 7 guest OS using Virtualbox.

Other posts I have seen on Acer are getting me worried that the TimelineX laptops don't support virtualization in that you can't turn on VT-x in the BIOS.

Can anyone confirm for me that this specific model does indeed support virtualization?

    thanks!
