Hi everyone, last night I got a pop-up window saying my virtual memory was very low.And something about microsoft checking on it, everything was like, in slow motion and the computer was acting very strange.
This morning, everythig seems to be back to normal, any suggestions?
    Thanks much, Jim.

how about checking the free space on your hdd. especially the partition where your swapfile is located.

It sounds like your partition containing the swapfile ( c:\ ) might be nearly filled up the it´s maximum.
If thats the case , you might wanna consider making some space on your hdd - clean up and back up some files you don´t need - and delete them from your hdd.

Check your settings for the page file as well as Schoko's advice; make sure that its set so that the system manages its size.

Thank you for the replys. Last month I was down to about4% free space and could not defrag. I was able to move some stuff over to the D drive after doing a clean up and ended up with 18% in the end so that worked out pretty good. Sounds like I should pretty much try the same thing again huh?
    Thanks again, Jim.
