Hello,
I have a Acer Extensa 4630Z. One of the features I have is a built in microphone and crystal eye web cam. I tried to set up what they call video conferencing and kept hitting a wall. Does anyone have any idea how I can use this feature? I would REALLY appreciate some help with this. Thanks,
Jim

hello jim
not familiar with video conferencing. is that a service? i have a 6930 with same mic & web cam.was able to set up skype. what is happening when you "hit wall" -
thanks for replying and so quickly. I started this whole search to use this feature after seeing it on one of the stickers on the laptop labeled Video Conference. I assumed that you had to use windows meeting space because I couldnt find anything remotely resembling a conferencing program. When I try and set that up it says you need an ad-hoc network. It says that the computers have to be within 30ft. of each other. I contacted acer tech support and they basically told me I was hit unless I paid them for the help. Is skype free? if so, could you walk me through that? Thanks,

its free to use as long as both have a free account.
