Guys how can I restore Vista from the restore-recovery partition.
I know that pressing F10 during post on a HP notebook will open the menu to restore the windows.
I can find nothing on my new Aspire 5920G.

    Help!!! :D

    Cannot find file: C:\D2D\Images\*.WSI

I have the same problem as you. I have the D2D on what not, but I can't get it to work. I have the Disk, but it says its missing some installation files during the install and then it quits and never finishes.

I found a way around this, I install xp first then pop in the disk and it works. It sucks because its not a fresh install. But now i'm running into windows not accepting my vista key...

Acer has absolutely no utilities for XP. How can I check battery status?

Batterystatus is something Windows XP ships with. (if you mean how many percent there is left on the battery)

try going to power options and see if its turned on. (get there from where u choose screensaver)
