    I contacted the local Acer sales exec. for the West Coast, and she said that the Aspire 5020 with the new Turion 64 processor is only going to be released in Europe. I'm pretty sure this isn't a typo, but she also mentioned that a model known as the Acer 5002 will be released at the end of May.

    Anyone know anything about this?

    Doesn't sound right. The press release on Acer America's website announces both the 5000 and 5020 series.......

    Yeah, I know it sounds really strange. It's quite possible she meant the 5000, but I was writing specifically about the 5020 because it has all the specs I'm looking for. Here's exactly what the sales rep wrote:

    Hi,

    The 5020 is only going to be released in Europe. The 5002 should be available end of May.
