Hi, I have a problem with ati radeon x600 in my Acer Travelmate 4600.My notebook normally gets qiute hot after few hours of working. Maybe all Acers from this series are getting hot. Not good, however, it worked without a problem for 1.5 years. I upgraded RAM from 512 to 1GB and HDD from 60gb 4200rpm to 160gb 5400 rpm. It heated more, however, another 1 month without a problem. Now, 2 days ago it got quite hot, once again, and a strange noise appeared on the screen - a random red / blue noise. I was able to make a screenshot of that (!) so it is not a problem with the display.

When I turn off the notebook, wait until it cools down and then turn it on, the image is OK. No noise. After 10-15 minutes, the noise comes again. I can see it as I am typing this post. Computer works fine.

I really suspect the graphic card, that it burned itself. Have you ever seen something like this?
