    Hi,
My Acer Travelmate 244LM has started to suddenly shutdown, turn off, no blue screen, just bam! It particularly happens if the CPU is under load e.g. watching video, playing music while running a few other apps. I always run the computer on the AC adapter, never on the battery.

I have installed speedfan, which shows temperatures up to 65, but I'm not so sure it's temperature related.

Could it be a problem with the AC adapter? Or a problems with the on-board power? How would I go about determining the source of the problem?

    Any advice would be appreciated.
    Cheers
    DP

    Hi.

run this Prime95 - 24.14 is a CPU Stress util.

if the computer crashes, it`s likely a cpu or cooling problem.

you could also download "memtest86+" to test your memory for faults.

    regards

    John.
