    Hello
My Acer TravelMate 2000 is working always at half speed on battery (cpu freq is always 2,6 Ghz, but performance goes down).
    Is that normal?
Somebody know how to turn it to full power?

When using the notebook on battery, the CPU is supposed to drop to save battery life. You can make your CPU run at full speed by changing the Power Management settings in Control Panel, or through Acer's Power Management software (if it has this s/w). Change the setting from Notebook/Laptop to Always ON. This way, your CPU will run at full speed always, but battery life will suffer.

I tried it but it doesn't matter what powe scheme oI choose.
Laptop (celeron 2,6) always works two times slower.
I make a test under DOS by PCALALYSIS and there is the same thing than under windows (two times slower on battery).
Acer hasn't any power managament software liki toshiba or asus :(

You many want to check the Program Files folder or the Control Panel. The newer Acer's have the Acer e-Power Management s/w (I believe that's what it's called). If you don't have that, try checking the BIOS for any power management settings. If all else fails, contact Acer to get the final word on what the issue is (designed like that/hardware/software).

    Beware of Acer notebooks!!
There is no word, about fact than laptop works two times slower on batery and there is NO ADJUST POSSIBILITY ...
I will try to get my money back.
I pay for 2,6 Ghz speed, not 1,3 (battery). It is ****.
    This laptop is useless...
