I bought a 4810 about a week ago & so far I'm pretty happy with it, but one things bothers me & I'm not sure if it's normal or not.

After the laptop's been on for awhile (maybe 30 minutes+) it will make a strange snapping or clicking noise (definitely not the hard drive.) It seems to come from the screen area although I'm not positive on that. It's pretty rare that it happens, but lately I've noticed it happening when the laptop powers off.

It's a pretty loud noise & I'm curious if anybody else if experiencing this.

Yup, my 8930 did the same. It's not a very loud, right? I guess there are very few that notices it. I don't know where the noise is from, but I think it's from the powersupply inside the computer, the fan or maybe the LCD?

My new 6930 doesen't make the sound though :)

Yeah, it's not too loud but definitely noticeable. Did you have any problems with your 8930? Did the noise happen more frequently the longer you had the 8930? The more I use my 4810 the more I like it. I just want to know whether I should take it back for another one.

It wasn't annoying in any way. It was just a little click, and then it stopped for a long time.

I don't think you should be worried, unless it's very loud.
