    Hello:

I have a Fujitsu S6210 Pentium M 1.6Ghz laptop with the extra battery, about 4.5lbs. As I'm a business road warrior, battery life, performance, and weight are important to me. The 4810 seems to be a great set of features for what I need.

Perhaps I'm just falling into the counting Ghz trap, but what will be the performance difference between a 1.6Ghz Pentium M with 2Gb RAM running versus a 1.4Ghz CULV Solo with 4Gb RAM? I also expect that since I'm running XP now that Vista will also be a performance drag.

I don't game or watch HD, but do light-mid level photo editing.

Also, if the Duo SU9400 is the way to go, is there anybody in the US selling it yet?

    Thanks!

I'm not sure about the performance, but the SU9400 is being sold already, only in the Acer Aspire Timeline 3810t model. The 4810t and 5810t don't have the SU9400 yet.

The new ones will be faster as they are based on a newer core (Penryn 3M). If you go with the dual core SU9400 it will definitely be a lot faster than the Pentium M. If you have the money the new newegg model with the 13inch and SU9400 with SSD has huge bang for the buck at $799.
