Hey, I got a tm8104 and have been troubled by this issue:
i've noticed that while [and only when] playing games my laptop shuts down over a varied period of time. I figure this out to be a CPU overheating problem and i've read up on several threads and found that this programme Network Hardware Control will sort the problem.

Hence the question: where do i get NHC? didnt find it on google or anywhere else.
Or do i need it anyway?

    Please help! :(

ps: if direct download links are not allowed, please PM me or [email protected]

    cheers

It's notebook hardware control not network.

right, thanx! got the programme... reduced the cpu voltage a bit, ran a stability check. CPU shutdown at 95 degrees it says.

well lets see if its the overheating problem...
*went to do a series of tests*

Anything over 70C is possible problems! Is your fan even running or turning on???

If not get it fixed asap so you don't break your pc (or give it better cooling)

Use a 1inch thick book and put it behind the laptop to prop it up and give it better airflow.

i undervolted it to 1.164V and now running at full load at temperatures ranging from 60-80C...

Get it fixed.. heh, looks like my temperatures while gaming on this laptop are low compared to what i've read at this and other forums.

about the book - yea i tried that, it helps, but most of the time the notebook is on my lap...
