I am interested in these lapops and cannot decide! The power and gaming performance of the 8104 appeal to me but the portability of the 3002 also appeals to me.

Im a student and would like to bring these to class on a somewhat regular basis. I have never owned a laptop and dont know how hard it is to carry 6-7 lb laptop (8104). Is that really heavy? Can it fit in an average size backpack?

Since the 3002 is very light weight, I should not have a problem with it. However, can you do lots of work on the 12 inch screen? I love surfing the web alot and I also do work on the computer. I am just concerned that the 12 inch screen will be too small.

In terms of gaming performance, I want to play a few games. I am by no means a heavy gamer, I will probably have one or two games loaded. However, one of those games will be Call of Duty 2 which to me is a pretty demanding game. Obviously the 8104 should have no problem but I am not sure if the graphics solution for the 3002 can handle it.

Is there a huge difference between a 1.73 processor with 512 ram 4200 rpm hd and a 2.0 processor with 1 gb of ram and 5400 rpm hd?

Regarding the Asus W3V, I think its in between the two acers in terms of weight, processing and battery performance, and gaming performance, and monitor size.

Regarding the M45-S359, it seems to be a less expensive 8104
(all the specs are the same except the toshiba has integreted graphics).

Should the 8104 and M45-S359 give me at least 3 hours of battery life?

    Which one should I get!!!!!!!
(If there are other laptops that I should be looking at please tell me!)

Finally, I have looked for replacement batteries for acer and toshiba laptops and havent found any (or very little) online. Any recommendations?

    Thanks alot
