I recieved an e-mail from acer or at least I think it was about extending my warranty. My acer 5920g is almost 1 year old now and would it be a good thing to spend $100 on a extra 2 year warranty. Also is it a good warranty. Does it cover most that could go wrong. Any experience out there that can help me out. Don't want to waist any more money on this thing unless it is worth it.

Mostly I agree. Unless you spend a ton of money on your product (i.e. 3-5 THOUSAND dollars) I think extended warranties are bunk. Put the hundred in yer pocket and save it fer a rainy day. Besides, you'll prolly want a new lappy before the warranty is out. Good luck with your decision.

Any reputable warranty will have all the terms and conditions in the small print. I took one out on my Acer at the time of purchase ( ACER Advantage scheme ) for 3 year cover, but chose the one that did not cover accidental damage etc. Very reasonably priced around 49 GBP, and I hope I never need it but it's there if I do.
In general I agree that extended cover isn't worth it, but on a laptop ? Up to you.
