    Recovery Disk

    we thought we had backed up our Acer travelmate 4200 when we started but now the computer cannot find the ethernet controller or a few other things, and the disk for recovery is blank....does anyone know how I can get a copy of the factory snapshot of this notebook. I put in windows xp but it still does not see

    Does the 4200 support erecovery?

    If so enable D2D in bios and use Alt F10 to reinstall from hidden partion - assuming it is still there.
