    Hey all.

    Can anyone help me?

I recently installed Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit OS (build 7600) on my Acer aspire 5920G (previously running WIndows 7 32 bit trial version build 7100). Everything works perfectly, exept for the realtek sound driver, which fails to install. the error message reads : "Install Realtek HD Audio driver Failure!! [Error Code :0x000005B3]. I donwloaded the driver from the acer website.

I can't find the solution anywhere. Does anyone know the solution?

    thanks

    Charl

I made sure I dol the 64 bit, and downloaded it twice from 2 different sources. Same error pops up every time.

Seems as if some services are not running (properly). I am not sure if the Event Log gives some hints.

Since Windows 7 comes with generic drivers - do these work?

    Try this

    1) open device manager click "system devices" disable "microsoft UAA bus driver for high definition audio"

2)uninstall "UAA bus driver" make rescan devices (Note: Not all had this step. You may want to skip it.)

    3) install realtek driver the realtek driver includes the UAA driver too.
