    Hey guys,

I recently installed Windows Vista Ultimate on my laptop to find that my screen freezes for a split second every 2 seconds. I noticed this didnt happen on the log in screen so I started hunting down services (disabling them in msconfig, until the screen freezes didnt happen) the culprit, Windows Event Log.

I quickly reboot to factory default, Windows Event Log is enabled - except no screen freezing,
I find another copy of home premium install that - screen freezing is back
I install XP - no screen freezing

I'm a little stuck right now in terms of my next direction - this is a little out of my league so any help would be grateful on solving this problem.

    Smithy.

If I also end the Task Scheduler Process - this problem stops.

Is there nobody with an idea at all?
