    Hello, everybody!

I have problem with installing OS WIndows XP on my aspire 7535. I've read in internet for this problem and know that usually there are problems because the SATA drivers. Also read that XP with SP3 (service pack 3) contain such drivers.

But when I try to install Windows XP SP3 on the laptop and begin with memory format, the computer Shut down each time I try to do that. I'll be gracefull to each idea or help.

    Regards, Marto.

    Hi,
This is not perfectly correct. SP3 is mandatory, indeed. But still then you need the Sata drivers from the chipset manufacturer either to be provided via Floppy or integrated into the installation disc.
Or simply change Sata operation mode to IDE in Bios setup.

I would have expected a BSOD. But a shutdown indicates a problem with your hardware. You may check your HDD and your RAM. The "Ultimate Boot CD" has all the tools you need for that job.

Thanks a lot for the adviceses. Please excuse me for not very good english, but I'm from Bulgaria :) I

When I try to install the XP SP3 and HDD was on SATA MODE AHCI, nothing happen, even load the CD. So I try than with SATA MODE IDE and than the laptop shutsdown when begin to format the partition.

I'll try this software soon and will post here any problems or success. Thanks again!
