    Power button stopped working!!

    I have a 2 yr old Acer aspire 5052...recently the power button stopped working...Is there any way of switching on the laptop without using the power button???

    You mean it's dead ? or if not how are you switching it on now ?
    First try removing the battery and AC adapter and hold the power button down for at least 15 seconds. Then refit the battery and seei if it power up normally.

    nah not exactly...the button's gone(or maybe the connection which switches on the computer from inside)...everything else on the computer works except that it doesnt switch on....I had this problem before during the computers warranty period..acer guys said that the "USB Bus"(watever that is) which switches the computer on is sploit and they replaced it...
    I dont wanna give it for service since its costs too much to replace...i want to know if there is any other way of switching it on??(maybe a bit silly :p)
