I have a bit of music, not much and mainly mp3, on my Acer Aspire 3690, using foobar to play my albums, just recently there has been a significant hit to the music quality, any track, any album, now sounds like they were ripped bad; pops, scratches, I'm unable to listen to it.

I'm not sure what the cause is, tried playing some albums through iTunes and its the same thing, I've been using the laptop the same way, under the same conditions and yet for whatever reason the music I have on it now sounds horrible.

No idea what's going on, any ideas?

    Acer Aspire 3690
    Win Vista Home Basic
    Tried: foobar2000 & iTunes
