    Hi,
I am an IT supporter, my 5738ZG is 3 months old, and since the beginning, I have a recurring issue wíth "Plugged-in Not charging"
I have updated Bios, Win 7 64-bit is up to date, drivers, and it's virus clean.
    Work aorung has been:
    Shut down
    Removing battery
    Turn on again without battery
    Insert battery again
or insert battery and turn on after that.

It helps for some days, then the issue is there again.
Acer Support wrote to me, "there is nothing you can do than waiting we fix this issue".

    Very helpful :)

I see in Google that hundreds of people have same issue with different models and manifacturers.

Is there a chance that somebody in this Acer forum can help.
I Googled and almost tried all "work arounds" suggested... maybe you can suggest some others.

Sometimes it starts charging but then stop at 30, 40 50% or else, more often it charges 100%.. and the "plugged in not charging" issue is random.. not everytime.

    Any help
    Regards

Im having similar problems, seems to be happening if I connect the power cable, while the laptop is shutting down.

If I connect once the laptop is shut down then all is fine.

Exactly.. shutting down the laptop and plug the power in it solved the issue..
    But.. it's a work around...
Better than nothing though, since Acer does not do a thing.
