    Hi
I want to overclock my laptop but I do not know how, is there some kind of software I need? If so, where can I get it?

    I have a 8930G with Q9000 2ghz 6mb 1066fsb

Graphics is geforce 9600m gt 1gb

What safe levels do I stick to ?

Just want to get the best out of my machine, using windows 7 ultimate 64 bit (full licensed version)

    Cheers

    Hi
I used to overclock my pc but that was quite easy to do in the bios, with this laptop there doesnt seem to be any options to do this, just need to know what software etc I need really and what levels people have got theirs to, save me a bit of time if someone has already overclocked their 9600 etc. Cheers

Just downloaded something called rivertuner and it says my levels are:
    169 core
    338 shader
    100 memory

This is way off what it is meant to be, maybe the latest windows 7 driver isnt very good?

I'm not an expert on overclocking, but maybe you should post in the overclocking section - you'll get more attention there. Good luck.

    This is your basic/idling levels.
Your GPU probably have 3 different levels.
    1st, Idling - Lowest Speed
    2nd, 2D - Moderate Speed
    3rd, 3D - Maximal Speed

Overclocking allows you to have higher Maximal Speed than usual.
Advises - Overclocking is very dangerous, especially to newbie. Overclocking can cause uncontrollable heat-up and can kill the GPU/CPU.

If not mistaken, Acer laptops Processer basically can't be overclock. I know there are exceptionals.
GPU can be overclock. Don't worry.
