    Hello.

I've been willing to overclock my laptop system but couldn't find any means to do it. Apparently, most of the oveclocking tools do not support this chipset, because none of them has the correct clock generator.

I have tried both SetFSB and ClockGen but none of them managed to overclock my system. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this?

Additionally, is it possible to overclock the GMA 950, if at all?

Overclocking GMA 950 is waste of your time.

That's the understatement of the year right there :)

Just thinking about overclocking the GMA950 is a waste of time and brain cell activity.

That is not what I asked. Is it possible to overclock it? If so, how?

If you were interested in overclocking your laptop, then you probably shouldn't have got the 5570. I sure hope you didn't buy it hopping to overclock it, which wouldn't make sense since people who overclock for performance usually would not get something with a GMA950.

Looking at the previous posts in the thread, its obvious you shouldnt even be thinking of putting time in trying to overclock the GMA950. anymore time spent than this is probably gonna be wasted.

You can overclock whatever you want, the point is it won't do anything. Do you want to OC just for the sake of saying you have OCed something, or are you doing this in order to increase performance in games?

I didn't purchase it. I received it from a friend who has no more use for it. Could you just point me in the right direction, regardless of how marginal the performance the increase would be?

Or just drop the GMA altogether and stick to the processor? I appreciate it.

I've been to numerous websites and forums seeking assistance to overclock this model, and I'm aware that overclocking the GMA could, and will, yield minimal performance increase, if at all, but I want to do all I can to get every last bit of performance this laptop has to offer.

The reason why we haven't told you anything is because there aren't any programs designed to OC an integrated card like the GMA950.

First of all, the power of this gpu is closely related to the cpu, as it doesn't have a gpu of its own, thus it relies on the cpu to process things. So a faster cpu will undoubtedly help the performance somewhat.

Second, the gpu's ram is taken from the system ram. Thus, the faster that ram is, the faster the gpu's ram is, so make sure that you have the fastest ram available for your machine.

Other than that, there's really not much else to do, as most OC tools don't support integrated gpus, especially ones made by intel. While I had the luck that my integrated gpu was supported by ATI's OC tool, it is in fact an ATI card, thus it was supported.
