can I call acer to get a set of recovery disks? I have a few programs loaded and I want bloatware gone as well...I sorta dont want to screw with the bloatware until I get a recovery disk set.

Yeah, burn a recovery disk using the eRecovery. It works really well. I even deleted the recovery partition, but I was able to fully restore with the restore disk I burned using eRecovery.... The only thing is that after recovery using the disk, I found that the eRecovery program is gone, it is not installed.... it's not really a problem since I already have the disk...

If you don't delete your recovery partition, you can always restore your system to it's initial state. I got my TravelMate 5720 with no discs at all and I started freaking out, but I found the hidden partition so I was all set to remove Vista :D
