Need help with my Acer Aspire
My Acer Aspire (18months old) goes off just like I force it off. Has done this several times lately. Does anyone know what the problem might be? Do you think it could be a software problem or hardware? Reboots ok. comes back ok runs good for a day so then all of a sudden it will go off like I forced it off.
    Thanks for the help

It sounds like it might be overheating because the airways are clogged. It will then automatically shut down.
You will quickly get an idea of this if you put your hand under it and it feels very warm.
Use compressed air to clean out the airways but be careful not to spin up the fan excessively as it might damage the cooling fan.

I dont think so, and if it did shut down becaus of HDD failure, you would certainly get a Windows error message upon next start up. When shutting down because of heat, Windows will not display error message at startup.
