    Hi expert users out there,

I got a TM2480-2779 a while ago and found that Vista is running pretty slowly, even with 1G RAM :( . Saw a user review talking about how the machine's speed significantly improved after replacing the factory Vista with a new installation of XP on the machine.

Wonder if any of you expert users out there can shed some light on the following:

    1) How to replace Vista with XP Home (I already have the legit XP Home install CD)
    2) Where to find and how to install back the needed drivers (I have some knowledge/experience with software/hardware)
    3) Question - Will the XP drivers cover all the functions currently provided by the Vista drivers?
    4) If I keep the current Vista recovery partition, will it enable me to change my mind in the future should I ever wish to take out XP and restore the machine to its Vista factory default state? (and yes, I've already made the recovery DVD/CD's)
    5) Any good idea on how to keep the Vista recovery partition while also creating a new recovery image for the XP system? (I've been using True Image in another PC and just backup the image to D drive)

Thanks much for any help in advance :)
    AL

well, how about 2GB ram to run vista? That works good.

Or, you could install the memory and run them both as a dual

Vista drivers no workie w/ XP
