    Hello.

I have been trying to create a "Factory Default Disk" for my Aspire 5610z.

The problem I have is when I click on "Create factory default disk" in Acer eRecovery Management, nothing happens, no pop up screen or anything. I looked in task manager and burnmachine.exe is running, but nothing seems to happen.

I really don't know what to do.

If anyone could help, it would be appreciated.

I have this same problem right now with my newly purchased Acer Travelmate 7520G.

Did you or anyone find a solution to this?

(another issue is, that I am unsure if this machine has even SP1 installed (it doesn't say it in the Control Panel/System), but the Windows Updater isn't downloading it...)

Hum, I'd suggest an email to acer support.

I've had good luck with them. They always returned my emails and offered solutions to my problems.

Looks like it got fixed by:

Installing that missing SP1 & Getting newer version of eRecovery from Acer resulted that software is working now.

"looks like", because I just before doing this used my last DVD-R discs, and dont have any extras right now =)

but I got further away in the software now, so looks like it fixed the issue.

In case someone googles this post or views this in hopes to find fix:

No, abovementioned things did NOT fix the issue. Now that I had actual DVD discs, the BurnMachine.exe still just does nothing after selecting the burning of factory default discs.

Will contact the Acer support in near future....

As you can see in the first page of this forum, I have just posted a message about this issue. I have the same problem.
    I got an Acer 5920G.
The answer I got from acer was: re install your OS (!?).
