Two weeks ago I bought an Acer S3 (Solid state plus hard drive). So far it has worked fine until yesterday the following happened to the keyboard: "abcdefgh51230n6*qrst4vwxyz" and uppercase has the same problem: "ABCDEFGH51230N6*QRST4VWXYZ". To get the letter in the problem keys I have to press the Function key.

I use a wireless keyboard and it is keying correctly. The problem might rest in the actions of one of my young grandchildren. I had left the laptop on and when I came back to it she was happily banging away on the keys. (15 months old!!)

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

Press Fn and F11 to disable the pseudo-numpad.
