HI, I am 20 years old student from the UK.

My old laptop HP pavilion DV6290eu has died on me last night. It was constanly overheating. I had to use a laptop stand/cooler to keep it running.
Then even externar cooling wastn enought, it freezes before I manage to open single application.
Besides it has nearly 4 years, and the battery last only 5 minutes (not so portable any more)

I need a new one. I want it have around 14" screen, to be light and portable with good battery life.

I had a look at Asus UL30A with 13.3 screen, 4GB of RAM and SU7300 dual core. These used to were on offer for £350, now I cannot find them for less than £475.
    My budget is only £400.
Acer Timeline 4810T with 3GB of RAM SU3500 single core costs £320.

I tend to have open MS word, Firefox with lots of tabs (12-20) and listen to music on spotify at the same time.
Is mentioned above 4810T ok for my needs?

Also is it powerfull enough to watch a 720p (or 1080p) movie (on my TV) and search the web at the same time?
