Has anyone had any problems with firewire on your 3201XCi? Mine doesn't seem to work. Neither a hard drive I connected to it nor my iPod is recognized at all. Hmm. I have the firewire active. I wonder what the problem is.

I cannot get my external metalgearbox work with my 2012.
It works fine through usb2.0, but would not recognize external hdd conected via 1394.

I am going to contact Acer now that I know that I am not the only one.

I found the troublemaker. It turned out to be that a retractable firewire cable that I initially used was the issue. With the regular nonretractable cable it works fine. It is much faster than my USB2.0.

Yeah. Apparently it's not the firewire port. I do get a firewire hard drive to work. But my iPod still doesn't. Has anyone found a 4-pin firewire connector that works with the iPod on the 3201XCi?
